Goals / remit

Goals / remit of the organisation: The German Transport Forum is the only multi-modal transport industry association in Europe. As a lobby for all modes of transport, we provide impetus in the political decision-making process. In our dealings with Berlin and Brussels, we advocate competition and an end to bureaucratic hurdles.

With a membership of about 170 companies and industry associations,cross-section of German trade and industry. Our members include companies of different sizes, from large corporations with international operations to medium-sized and small enterprises and international associations, primarily in the transport, vehicle manufacturing, IT/communications, consultancy, construction, retail, banking and tourism industries.

Our overall aim is to enhance public awareness of the economic, political and social potential of mobility and to improve the framework conditions for the transport industry.
