    Goals / remit

Veolia Environnement is the world leader in environmental services. With operations on every continent and over 200,000 employees, Veolia Environnement provides customized solutions to meet the needs of municipal and industrial customers in three complementary segments: water, environmental services, energy services.
Veolia Environnement Europe Services, based in Brussels, represents the interests of Veolia Environnement with the EU institutions. Its remits are as follows: 1. ensure the monitoring and follow-up of political and legislative initiatives impacting directly or indirectly the activities of Veolia Environnement in its three sectors of activity.

  • European
  • global

The main activities performed by the organisation are the following:
• legislative and regulatory monitoring (environment, energy, internal market, competition, regional policy, social agenda);
• representation of Veolia Environnement within certain associations, federations and think tanks;
• provide external expertise and operational feedback to the EU institutions on specific subjects linked to the institutional agenda (including events, public hearings and conferences);
• participate in the legislative process (including consultations, bilateral dialogue and direct/indirect representation).

    Number of persons involved in the activities described in the box above

The number of persons engaged in activities falling under the scope of the register includes three Brussels based collaborators on a full time basis (holders of permanent access badges), one part-time Brussels based collaborator on a full time basis (holder of a permanent access badge) and three Paris-based collaborators on a part-time basis.
Other collaborators may be involved in activities falling under the scope of the Register through the activities of European federations (or other similar organisations) in which they represent directly a national body (ex. sectoral association) and not Veolia Environnement. These organisations are independently registered to the present Register. For these reasons, those collaborators have not been taken into account in the present declaration.
