De NCV behartigt de belangen van de Nederlandse cosmetica-industrie, die met producten voor de persoonlijke en uiterlijke verzorging, schoonheid en hygiëne, een bijdrage levert aan het persoonlijke en sociale welzijn en welbevinden van de consument. De vereniging bevordert een positief, duurzaam en innovatief ondernemersklimaat van de branche in economische en wettelijke zin.
De NCV richt zich in het bijzonder op:
- bestendigen van het vertrouwen in veiligheid en kwaliteit van cosmetica bij consument en andere belanghebbenden
-collectieve vertegenwoordiging naar overheid, nationale en internationale belanghebbenden en media
- ondersteunen van de lidbedrijven met kennis en informatie over wet- en regelgeving, wetenschap en maatschappelijke trends.
