The Bahá’í International Community (BIC) is an international non-governmental organization with affiliates in over 180 countries and territories that seeks to contribute to the betterment of society by engaging and collaborating with other like minded actors and organizations. Its contributions are guided by the teachings of the Bahá'i Faith. It also draws insight from the worldwide Bahá'i community’s experience to address the challenges and opportunities that present themselves to humanity today by translating these teachings into action.
The Bahá'i International Community has been present at the United Nations for over 60 years and has offices in New York and Geneva. It recently opened a Brussels office which operates at the European level and seeks to engage with institutions and agencies of the European Union, the Council of Europe, civil society and other relevant organizations.
