Der Verband Geschlossene Fonds e.V. ist die Interessenvertretung der Anbieter geschlossener Fonds in Deutschland. Wir informieren Politik, Medien und Anleger aktiv und transparent über die Vermögensanlage Geschlossene Fonds. Zudem engagieren wir uns im Dialog mit dem Gesetzgeber für langfristig stabile wirtschaftliche, rechtliche und steuerliche Rahmenbedingungen für geschlossene Fonds. Davon profitieren sowohl Anleger als auch Anbieter geschlossener Fonds.
Derzeit vertritt der VGF insgesamt 59 Mitglieder, darunter 39 Anbieter geschlossener Fonds und 20 Fördermitglieder. Die im Verband organisierten Anbieter verwalten zusammen ein Investitionsvolumen von rund 140 Mrd. Euro. Bezogen auf den Gesamtmarkt in Deutschland mit einem verwalteten Fondsvolumen von 199 Mrd. Euro repräsentiert der VGF damit mehr als 70 Prozent des Marktes geschlossener Fonds.
Die Mitglieder des Verbands haben im Jahr 2011 Fonds mit einem Volumen von rund 7,1 Mrd. Euro aufgelegt. Bezogen auf das Gesamtemissionsvolumen von 9,9 Mrd. Euro entspricht dies einem Anteil von mehr als 70 Prozent.
