IBI PLAST, located northwards from Milan, near to the Malpensa Airport, has been successfully working in the plastic packaging field for more than 30 years. Thanks to a steady technological development on the polyethylene bags market, IBI PLAST is now the leader company in Italy for the production of bags in biodegradable and compostable material for different application: sacks for green-waste collection, bags and bin liners for food-waste, carrier bags, wheelie bin liners. The production system is based on a remarkable flexibility and versatility in order to satisfy all customer requirements. Ecosac® and Ecobag® were the first biodegradable and compostable bags, produced for the Italian market in 1994. These bags are used more and more for a correct differentiated waste disposal, to transform the organic waste into a high-quality and impurity free compost that may be used as fertiliser or integrator for agrarian lands. IBI PLAST is always focused on environmental friendship activities. The company developed beyond standard closed kerbside food-waste collection units from 8 to 35 litres, 7 liter Bio.Box® and Air.Box® Kitchen Food-waste Caddies with biodegradable-compostable bags. The main characteristics of Bio.Box® and Air.Box® are: •Breathable, naturally drives off moisture in the waste and reduces the weight of contents by up to 30%. •Eliminates Odours— through evaporation, avoiding fermentation. •Eliminates wetness found inside ordinary caddies. Besides these activities, IBI PLAST is supplying carrier bags printed up to 3 colours each side, of any different size and type (bunny ear, punch handle, soft handle bags). Quadricromic printing bags supplied on specific request. All IBI PLAST biodegradable and compostable bags comply to European norm EN13432 and are Din Certco and AIB-Vincotte certified. Main food and no-food retailers, waste management companies, country and city governments are loyal and steady IBI PLAST customers.
