    Goals / remit

CBA aims to support the UK chemical supply chain within an increasingly strict regulatory framework. Recognising the importance of ensuring safe and secure working practices and preserving our environment, the CBA engages with member companies, governments and organisations to achieve realistic guidance, safe operation and monitoring of the UK’s chemical supply industry.

CBA and its members explore industry issues and formulate plans to ensure sustainable operation and fair representation for all companies engaged in the industry. CBA promotes responsible care and product stewardship throughout the supply chain.

The Association provides high quality advice and assistance on technical, commercial, legislative and environmental issues covering a broad range of topics including:

 Classification, packaging, labelling, handling, carriage and disposal of hazardous products
 Warehousing
 Control of hazardous substances
 Restrictions on vehicles and the movement of goods
 Export and import regulations
 Tariff changes, anti-dumping and competition policy
 Updated ADR regulations
 WEE regulations
 Drug precursors
 Biocide information
 Health & Safety at Work
