SCARA is an association of 17 french airlines (Corsair, Air Austral, Air Med., CCM Airlines, Aigle Azur, XL Airways, Star, AAA, THS, ESMA, etc..) representing a 2,7 billions € and 7300 employee.
1. It was founded in January 1996 and won immediate recognition by the government as representative union in France.
2. It has official partnership with French authorities specially : Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of Finance.
It negociates all the Collective Labour agreements with all unions (pilots, cabin crews and ground staff).
As an Air Transport Association, we discuss Air Navigation programs and dues, Airport taxes and dues, thus leading to major litigations before the Supreme Administrative Court : Conseil d’Etat.
It is also competent in technical and operational regulations, in close contact with French Civil Aviation and EASA.
Scara has representatives in all French air Transport Commissions, committees or managing bodies.
SCARA keeps in touch with or participates in international activities through Eurocontrol, IATA, AEA, ERA, etc.. and is a member of the European Aviation Club.
