ICT Union (former name SPIS)
The ICT Union (ICTU) was created by joining a SPIS (Association for Information Society) and APVTS (Association of the Public Telecommunications Operators) in January 2010.
SPIS was founded in March 1998 as a professional organization of enterprises operating in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector. Its chief objective is to create an information society based on knowledge and innovation. The Association champions the importance of modern information technology as a fundamental tool for building an efficient public administration system, a prerequisite for the full integration of the Czech Republic into European structures and essential for increasing the competitive strength of the Czech economy.
