Goals / remit of the organisation: GWEC represents the interests of the wind power industry globally, with primary focus on international organisations such as the UNFCCC, IPCC, IEA, and work with national associations and countries to help improve market conditions for the industry in new and emerging markets

Our interaction with EU as an institution is limited to our participation on behalf of the industry in the global climate negotiations where the EU is a major player. We spend virtually no time on EU policies per se, as that is the prime objective of our member organisation, the European Wind Energy Association. However, our input is relevant for the purposes of this consultation on the post-2012 climate regime.
