Die Medicator AG steht bereit, die Erfüllung von Versicherungsverträgen zu sichern, falls ein Krankenversicherungsunternehmen in eine finanzielle Notlage oder sogar in die Insolvenz geraten sollte.
Sollte der Fall der finanziellen Notlage eintreten,übernimmt die Medicator AG den gesamten Bestand an Krankenversicherungsverträgen einschließlich der zur Deckung der Verbindlichkeiten aus diesen Verträgen notwendigen Forderungsansprüche. Die Aufgabe der Auffanggesellschaft besteht darin, die übertragenen Bestände sobald wie möglich auf aktive Krankenversicherer weiter zu übertragen und dort in eine wachsende und sich weiter entwickelnde Versichertengemeinschaft einzubinden. Die laufenden Versicherungsfälle werden in der Zwischenzeit von der Medicator AG bzw. von deren Dienstleistern erfüllt.
