Goals / remit of the organisation:

Founded in 2000, FIPRA International Ltd is a leading European and international public affairs consultancy advising clients on a range of government relations and regulatory policy issues. FIPRA International has relationships with a range of other consultancies across Europe and globally: the wider FIPRA network extends to over 50 countries both in Europe and internationally. FIPRA’s business focus is on the provision of advice and assistance in “public affairs” also termed “government relations”. We advise companies and non-corporate clients on how best to engage with government and public institutions on questions of policy, legislation and regulation that concern them. In Europe, much of our work is undertaken with the institutions of the European Union. FIPRA International is registered in the UK and has directly-owned representative offices in Belgium (Brussels) and in Ireland. Our entry on the Commission Register of interest representatives relates to our work undertaken on behalf of clients in connection with the EU institutions.

Total turnover listed is based on the definition of relevant activities as provided by the EU Transparency Registrar, namely “activities carried out with the objective of directly or indirectly influencing the formulation or implementation of policy and
decision-making processes of the EU institutions”. In line with the published guidelines and the FAQ statement as provided on the EU Transparency Register website, certain specific activities do not fall within the scope of the above definition, namely:
− Activities of legal and other professional advice, when they relate to the exercise of the fundamental right to a fair trial of a client, including the right of the defence in administrative proceedings.
− Activities of the social partners when they are part of the Social Dialogue. This applies mutatis mutandis to any entity specifically designated in the Treaties to play an institutional
Role; and
− Activities in response to direct and individual request from EU institutions or Members of the European Parliament such as ad hoc or regular requests for factual information, data or expertise and / or individualised invitations to attend public hearings or to participate in the workings of consultative committees or in any similar forum.
Relevant annual turnover, both in total and for individual clients, has been stated in line with these guidelines.
