| Goals / remit of the organisation: |
EuroWindoor, the umbrella organization of the 4 European associations of fenestration and door sector, was created in January 1999 and is covering 30 national federations in Europe representing the interests of more than 50,000 companies employing around 1 million workers in Europe. It is the adequate representation of the fenestration and door sector in Europe, taking into account the individual responsibility of each member organization. (Note: “Fenestration” does include windows and curtain walls as well as accessories, but also installation, glazing and sun screening, etc.)
It is the aim of the present cooperative agreement (June 2012) - To bundle the interests of European associations of fenestration and door sector - To be officially acknowledged as the umbrella organization for the different members - To go beyond lobbying at the European Union
The main tasks of EuroWindoor are lobbying and supply of information, to create a functioning market environment for European fenestration and door sector. A working program is developed from the points which member organizations have in common
