Goals / remit of the organisation: De USS verdedigt en bevordert als beroepsunie de belangen van alle Erkende Sociale Secretariaten, leden van de USS, op alle noodzakelijke niveaus.

De USS is een referentie voor de Overheid bij de totstandkoming en de uitvoering van de technische aspecten van de regelgeving inzake tewerkstelling van personeel.

De USS is onafhankelijk en steunt bij zijn werking op de terreinkennis, ervaring en deskundigheid van zijn leden.

De USS neemt het initiatief om de relaties van zijn leden onderling dan wel met de Overheid en met de sociale partners te stroomlijnen.
