Goals / remit

Goals / remit of the organisation: Ex Ante - European Legal Affairs and Government Relations is a Brussels-based consultancy focused on EU advocacy.
We support clients by providing political intelligence, legal analysis, strategic advise, and direct advocacy.
Ex Ante believes that multiple stakeholder activity at the interface of politics, business, and law brings the best solutions for all parties - lobbying is an important part of democratically legitimate law making.
In this context, stakeholder activity needs to be solution based, and channelled through substantive legal and technical arguments that bring the process forward. Be part of the solution, not the problem!
Ex Ante is focused on the Information Society sector, providing advocacy support on issues falling under the Digital Agenda umbrella, in particular e-Commerce and Intellectual Property legislation.
We provide added value through thorough understanding of the EU procedural and legal framework. We think that one must know the law in order to change it.
We advise clients on whom to meet and when, what to say, and how to convey the message.
As illustrated in the name, we at Ex Ante believe that effective activity before a problem arises and legislation is passed saves resources afterwards.
