The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) is the leading professional body for international treasury providing the widest scope of benchmark qualifications for those working in treasury, risk and corporate finance. Membership is by examination. We define standards, promote best practice and support continuing professional development. We are the professional voice of corporate treasury, representing our members.

Our 4,800 members work widely in companies of all sizes through industry, commerce and professional service firms.

The ACT is involved in making representations on matters that impact upon companies and their treasury, risk and corporate finance activities, including banking regulation and the regulation of financial markets. Recent examples of particular relevance include the regulation of Credit Rating Agencies, the regulation of money market funds, the structure of future banking regulation and the regulation of OTC derivative markets (EMIR).

The ACT is a member of the EACT (European Association of Corporate Treasurers) a grouping of 21 National Treasury Associations from across Europe.

The ACT is a member of IGTA (International Group of Treasury Associations)which provides a forum for 24 National Treasury Associations from across the world.

The ACT is a member of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry). The CBI's mission is to help create and sustain the conditions in which businesses in the United Kingdom can compete and prosper for the benefit of all. It is a lobbying organisation for UK business on national and international issues.
