As part of the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES), Institute for Air Quality Management members may gain recognition as Chartered Scientists through the Science Council and/or as Chartered Environmentalists through the Society for the Environment. The IES is a member of EFEAP, the European Federation of Associations of Environmental Professionals.
