DEKRA is actively following every EU regulatory act related to safety and the environment. Within the context of the Commission’s Road Safety Framework 2011-2020, DEKRA follows issues such as the roadworthiness package, the introduction of eCall and the proposed changes to weights and dimensions of certain vehicles. Further to this, innovative projects such as Cars 2020 and Horizon 2020 are also of interest. DEKRA is also following the product safety and market surveillance legislation (as well as the issues surrounding medical devices and consumer product safety). Nuclear safety, health and safety at work are also closely followed by our EU Representation.

DEKRA is firmly committed to informing road users and preventing accidents. In this context, DEKRA has actively supported the European Road Safety Charter since 2004 as an initial signatory.
