The VVT is the Dutch Association of Crane Rental Businesses.
As such VVT is also a member of the ESTA (The European Association of abnormal road transport and mobile cranes is the unique European arm for trade Associations, representing mobile cranes and access platform, rental companies and abnormal road transport companies).
The VVT organises approximately 80% of the total amount of Dutch crane rental companies.

Missie volgens de statuten:
De vereniging verenigt bedrijven werkzaam in het verticaaltransport en onderhoudt het contact met en tussen de leden in de meest ruime zin. Ze stimuleert de ontwikkeling en behartigt de belangen van de verticaaltransportbranche in het algemeen en van haar leden in het bijzonder.
Missie puntsgewijs samengevat:
het verenigen van bedrijven werkzaam in het verticaal transport,
het behartigen van de belangen van de verticaal transportsector in het algemeen en die van haar leden in het bijzonder,
het bevorderen van de ontwikkeling van het verticaal transport,
het bevorderen van de contacten tussen de leden.

Het betreft hier zaken die vallen onder de machine Richtlijn en onder de Richtlijn 2005/036/EC en de voorgestelde herziening van deze Richtlijn.
Daarnaast worden initiatieven omtrent Richtlijnen rond emissies en lawaai gevolgd voor zover het materieel van onze leden zou kunnen betreffen.
Daarnaast volgen wij de ontwikkelingen rond het Eurovignet. Hoewel onze leden zijn vrijgesteld van het Eurovignet, kan afschaffing ervan op lidstaatniveau grote consequenties hebben (bijvoorbeeld een verhoging van de MRB)
