Der Bundesverband der Deutschen Luftverkehrswirtschaft e. V. (BDL) wurde 2010 als gemeinsames Sprachrohr der deutschen Luftfahrt gegründet. Der BDL setzt sich für eine Stärkung des Luftverkehrsstandortes Deutschland ein. Als zentraler Ansprechpartner für Politik, Medien und Öffentlichkeit, bündelt und kommuniziert er die Themen, die von Bedeutung für die Branche sind. Mitglieder des Verbandes sind Fluggesellschaften, Flughäfen und die Deutsche Flugsicherung.
