The Television Producers Association was formed in 1994 with the intent of representing the position of its members toward public and private institutions and broadcasters, encouraging industrial development, and protecting interests during the adoption of national and EU regulations.
53 independent production companies of various sizes currently belong to the APT, and realize 80% of the sector’s total turnover; they are primarily engaged in the production of television series, but also light entertainment, animated cartoons, and documentaries.
The extensive participation of Italian independent producers configures APT as the category’s most representative association, giving it full title to act on behalf of its members in the stipulation of economic, confederative, and union agreements.
