2. Zweck des Verbandes
Der Verband bezweckt unter Ausschluss jeden wirtschaftlichen Geschäfts-betriebs die Wahrnehmung und Förderung der Interessen der Gaseindustrie. Insbesondere verfolgt der Verband den Zweck, die Interessen seiner Mitglieder durch die Erfüllung der folgenden Aufgaben zu fördern und Dritten gegenüber zu vertreten:
2.1 Förderung von Sicherheit und Umweltschutz bei Gewinnung, Herstellung, Behandlung, Lagerung, Transport, Verwendung und Entsorgung von Industrie-, Medizinal- und Lebensmittelgasen durch
2.1.1 Beratung von Mitgliedern
2.1.2 Förderung von sicherheitstechnischer Ausbildung und Schulung
2.1.3 Informationsaustausch über sicherheitsrelevante Ereignisse und deren Analysen
2.1.4 Erarbeitung von Richtlinien und Empfehlungen.
2.2 Mitarbeit in Gremien, die nationale und internationale Gesetze, Verordnungen, Richtlinien, Normen und sonstige Rege¬lungen im Bereich von Sicherheit und Umweltschutz erarbeiten.
2.3 Beratung von Behörden zu Fragen von Sicherheit und Um¬weltschutz.
2.4 Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Europäischen Industriegaseverband (EIGA) und dem Chemieverband (VCI).
