ICCT is a council of government officials and international experts who are responsible for setting policy to address air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. These government officials are selected from the top vehicle markets in the world which currently includes: European nations (Belgium, UK, Germany), US, Japan, China, Canada, Mexico, India, Brazil, South Korea, Thailand. In addition, the ICCT is part of a global network of regional philanthropies dedicated to funding the development and implementation of climate and energy policies that lead to significant reductions in carbon emissions. We work closely with the international ClimateWorks Foundation, the European Climate Foundation, the Energy Foundation, and the China Sustainable Energy Program.
