Goals / remit
| Goals / remit of the organisation: |
The law firm is involved in regular practice ( civil and commercial) , but over time we have discoreved an unknown ability in obtaining better results in lobbying activities rather than in Courts.
Accordingly , many issues concerning EU laws have been succesfully resolved before Solvit and the EU Commission within a very short period of time and faster than ordinary Court claims.
We have been focused mostly on professional qualification issues , but we have been active even in matters of transport and social security.
Due to the positive outcome of the lobbying activity ,we are now planning to develop and expand the expertise area to other subjects of EU law.

Activities
Main EU initiatives covered the year before by activities falling under the scope of the Transparency Register:
|
We have dealt with the following activities:
we have pressed Solvit and than the Commission in order to have the Directive 98/5 correctly applied in Italy.
we have resolved trought Solvit a issue concering the refusal that affected a lawyer who asked the recognition of his foreign title in Italy under the 2005/36 Directive.
we have partecipated in the public consultation on the 2005/36 reform proposal in terms of having it applied even to notaries. putting on account very recent ECJ decisions.
we are working in order to have the compensative measure of the 2005/36 used properly in Italy ( with reference to lawyers).
we are dealing - in transport - with the issue of vehicle revision that - in our opion - could have been done not only in the member state where the car is registered , but also abroad
We have proposed the the EU Commission joining Hague Convention on Apostille in order to have a European Apostille , not only national.
We have persuaded the Joint Commitee EU-Swiss to adopt a decision on the application of the ECJ case C-50/08 to Swiss with reference to notaries

Other (financial) information provided by the organisation:

Unfortunately , it is difficult to give a satisfatory breakdown of the financial figures due to the fact that the italian experience of regulated lobbying is a relatively new concept , not to mention that such an activity is not regulated at all.
Thus ,in our experience lobbying is seen by clients as a support to corroborate their claims rather than a per se professional activity.
The real importance of the activity is often missed , despite of the fact that the client will benefit from that.
Accordingly , payment of professional fees is linked mostly to the whole service offered rather than on the detailed basis of activities.
Consequently , the clients do not realize they are paying for the lobbying part too and this make more difficult to better defines figures the way the registration process requires.
