Set up in 2006 as an industry producers' organisation for the Scottish salmon farming industry, the SSPO encompasses >95% of the tonnage of Scottish farmed salmon production. All members participate in and adhere to the industry's code of good practice. The organisation plays a central role in representing the industry on in the political, regulatory, media and technical arenas in Scotland, the UK, EU and Internationally.
