Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is a joint stock company, wholly owned by Polish State Treasury. It is a strategic company for Poland’s economy and energy security.
GAZ-SYSTEM is an independent and fully unbundled transmission system operator (TSO) for natural gas. It is providing equal services to all entities on non-discriminatory basis.
GAZ-SYSTEM’s key task is the transport of gas via the transmission network throughout Poland to supply gas to the distribution networks and final customers connected to the transmission system. The Company is also responsible for construction and further operation of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.

GAZ-SYSTEM as a TSO and infrastructure project promoter takes part in regional groups with EC.
Starting from 2009 it is represented in BEMIP Gas Working Group with various subgroups, Since 2011 it takes part in NSI East gas Working Grooup.
With implementation of new TENE regulation GAZ-SYSTEM is participating in its BEMIP, NSI East Gas and Southern Gas Corridor Working Groups.
The Brussels office was coordinating the Company's activities in the EU Policy area. The main interest
was towards EU policy initiatives in the field of energy infrastructure:
- TENE Guidelines and PCI selection and application process
- Energy Union Initiative,
- European Energy Security Strategy,
- Progress of Internal Energy Market.
GAZ-SYSTEM was also following closely the EC activities concerning the Security of Gas Supply in relation to the situation in Ukraine and Eastern supply direction, particularly stress-tests.
Company's Representatives are directly involved in the work of ad-hoc working groups for natural
gas - working on PCIs evaluation and selection for the new TENe guidelines.
GAZ-SYSTEM is also involved in TSOs work on network codes development on the ENTSOG forum. In 2014 it was also working on new edition of 10-year Network Development Plan of ENTSOG and on GRIPs(Regional Invesment Plans)for BEMIP and CEE Regions.

GAZ-SYSTEM established its Brussels Office in May 2008. Since then, it closely follows the activities of the European Institutions concerning energy and gas markets. The office represents Company during official events, various working groups, workshops or conferences. It is also liaising the Company's headquarters with sectoral organisations based in Brussels.
