Goals / remit
| Goals / remit of the organisation: |
Koninklijke Vereniging MKB-Nederland (“Royal Association SME-Netherlands”) …
The SME employers organisation of the Netherlands (“MKB” is the Dutch equivalent of SME) and its mission is to promote entrepreneurship.
The biggest employers organisation of the Netherlands.
Its members are 150 trade associations and 600 local and regional SME chapters, in total we represent 186.000 small- and medium-sized enterprises.
“One voice”: since 1995 uniting all SME associations in the Netherlands under one umbrella (having its roots in 1902, declared as a royal association in 1927).
Our members are grouped in five clusters: business services; retail; health and public services; industry and construction; leisure and “zakelijke gastvrijheid”.
Since 2009 we share offices with VNO-NCW in The Hague. The policy department is a shared one with VNO-NCW, the two associations and its boards are independent.
The Brussels office was founded in 1992 and since 2010 MKB-Nederland and VNO-NCW have a shared office opposite the Berlaymont-building.
