    Goals / remit

The purpose of ADHD-Europe ivzw is to advance the rights of, and advocate on every level throughout Europe for, people affected by ADHD and co-occurring conditions in order to help them fulfill their potential.
It shall also promote the dissemination of information and support to those who live, or are in contact, with persons who have ADHD.
ADHD-Europe promotes ADHD awareness and information on a European level, promoting evidence-based treatment and supporting the efforts of its members throughout Europe, in an effort to combat ignorance, stigma and intolerance with regard to AD/HD.
Other fields of activity are in the area of
- public and professional education,
- rights of individuals and their families,
- support for, and participation in, scientific research around ADHD and co occurring conditions.
ADHD-Europe l encourages discussion, opinion forming and public debate in the area of mental health care.

    Specific activities covered by the Register

We are collaborating partners in the joint action work package (WP7) on Mental Health in Schools

We are partners in the EU funded Adocare project to build a European Expert network in adapted (specialist) Adolescent Mental healthcare

In 2014 ADHD –Europe submitted a response to the public consultation on Europe 2020. We also took part in the European Commission’s day of disability conference and several parliamentary interest group meetings concerning mental health issues.

Organisation of the AD/HD Awareness Week September 2010
