Goals / remit
| Goals / remit of the organisation: |
The UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) supports the UK finance sector to advance sustainable development through financial services.
UKSIF promotes responsible investment and other forms of finance that support sustainable economic development, enhance quality of life and safeguard the environment. We also seek to ensure that individual and institutional investors can reflect their values in their investments.
Our vision is that “The UK finance sector leads the world in advancing sustainable development through financial services”.
In the interests of advancing sustainable development, we support UK leadership in the practice of sustainable investment and finance in global markets, and encourage client demand for sustainable investment and finance in the UK.
UKSIF was created in 1991 to bring together the different strands of sustainable and responsible finance nationally and to act as a focus and voice for the industry. UKSIF's 260+ members and affiliates include pension funds, institutional and retail investment managers, banks, financial advisers, research providers, consultants and non-governmental organisations.
