    Goals / remit

1- Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Coimbra (FMUC) considers teaching, scientific research and technological innovation main pillars of its activity;
2- FMUC primarily aims at training graduate and postgraduate education in health and biomedical sciences, including through undergraduate, master, doctoral and postdoctoral programs, courses, non-degree academic and other activities of specialization and learning;
3-FMUC encourages and emphasizes scientific research and development technology in the fields of medicine, dentistry, other areas of biomedicine and health sciences areas;
4-FMUC fosters the creation, transmission and dissemination of science and culture to the medical community in general and to their students in particular;
5- FMUC promotes providing differentiated services to the community in health and related fields;
6- FMUC promotes inter-agency cooperation as a precondition for progress and excellence, particularly through consortia and other agreements with the aim of completing academic courses and other activities relevant to the health sector.
