Goals / remit

Goals / remit of the organisation: JRAIA aims to promote and improve production, distribution and utilization of refrigerating machines, refrigerating machine appliances and equipment, as well as auxiliary devices and components, automatic controls and accessories (hereinafter referred to as ''refrigeration/air conditioning equipment''), and thereby contribute to the steady development of Japanese industry and improvement in people's quality of life.

Japanese residential and commercial air conditioners are major in Europe. As mild summer climate in Europe had been requiring limited air conditioning, the air conditioning industry in Europe has not fully developed yet. Thus, large portion of air conditioning products and technologies in Europe is depending on Japanese technologies.

Europe takes leading role of environmental regulations in the world, so air conditioners are also in the scope of such advanced environmental regulations. In order to get timely regulatory information of EU and supply sufficient technical information of Japan, JROAME was established in Brussels.
