The European Writing Instrument Manufacturer’s Association EWIMA) represents the specific interests of the leading manufacturers of writing and drawing products and related art materials in Europe. These include producers of components and accessories. Due to the international scope and services provided distribution subsidiaries of manufacturers outside Europe are eligible to EWIMA-membership.
EWIMA is independent and funded by members only. EWIMA’s prime activities are:
Information for members specifically on - chemical topics - engineering - consumers' safety - environmental awareness - competitive actions / law - market trends - specific legal implications
Communication amongst members: - Internal exchange of views in committees and working groups - Preparations and resolutions on common positions in all matters of concern for the industry
Membership representation towards - government authorities, enforcement offices - consumers, general public - fair organizers - related industries / distribution channels - standardization institutes (CEN, ISO, ASTM, DIN, SABS) - other non-governmental organisations (NGO)
Exclusive services for members only (e.g. patent services and statistics)
