Aufgabe des Verbandes ist es, die Verbreitung des Energiecontractings mit Wärme, Kälte, Druckluft und elektrischen Strom zu unterstützen, Betriebe qualifiziert zum Energielieferanten zu schulen, die Einhaltung professioneller Standards sicherzustellen und die Betriebe in den Bereichen zu beraten, die bei der Umsetzung des Konzeptes wichtig sind. Das Verbandsbüro hält für diese Aufgabe ein komplettes Dienstleistungspaket für Energielieferanten und Gebäudeeigentümer vor.
Weiterhin werden sämtliche Anfragen und Anforderungen koordiniert und im Bedarfsfall an die entsprechenden Fachleute weitergeleitet.
