Digitale Gesellschaft e.V. is a not for profit, non-governmental organisation. It's goal is to defend and promote civil rights in the digital environment, such as freedom of speech, privacy and data protection.
The organisation is carrying out civil society campaigns in order to promote and defend fundamental rights in the Internet era.
The organisation is not involved in lobbying activities, but focuses on advocacy. Digitale Gesellschaft aims at making available campaigns, platforms and tools for activists on the different issues and thus to provide a voice for civil society in the digital field.
