The City of Stockholm's Environment and Health Administration, MF, is the authority responsible for the environmental health of the City. MF has approximately 200 employees. The long-term target is for Stockholm to continue to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases at the same rate as between 1990 and 2005, thus achieving the goal “Fossil Fuel Free City 2050”. The environmental work in the City is guided by the Environment Program and Stockholm’s Action Program on Climate Change (SACC).
Hazardous substances, biodiversity, climate adaptation, climate mitigation and energy efficiency, water, health, air quality, noise reduction.
We are mainly looking into consultations in the field of Transport and environment. Sometimes we make a reply of our own, but mostly we synchronise our input with other cities via e.g. Eurocities, Iclei, in the framework of an EU-project or via our national representatives.
