Goals / remit

Goals / remit of the organisation: The organization has been implementing a program of sustainable tourism since 2007 in the region of the Central Rhodope. The memebers of the NGO are active consultants in the topics of tourizm, sustainable tourism, sustainable development, forestry and land managment, environment protection and etc.


Mission of the NGO

Overall activities of the association will be in the interest of the public good and will help solve the social, health, environmental, cultural and other issues and problems both in the mountains and to its inhabitants.

Objectives of the organization

The main objectives of the association are:
1. Creating a database from various spheres of life in mountainous regions;
2. Increasing innovation culture and knowledge transfer in various areas of public life;
3. Supporting arts and culture in the region;
4. Measures for sustainable development and urbanization, adaptation to the region to European standards;
5. Support the process of sustainable development in the region through the implementation of projects;
6. Conservation, culture and traditions of the mountains, through education and outreach to the public;
7. Research, preservation and restoration of the environment (landscape) and biodiversity in Rhodopes;
8. Support activities to respond to disasters and emergencies;
9. Promote youth participation in public life through youth initiatives, activities, unprofessional development and employment of young people.
10. Protect the rights and interests of residents in mountain regions;
11. Support the development of European integration and transborder cooperation;
12. Contribute to solving social, cultural, economic and environmental issues in mountain regions.

STRUCTURE OF " RHODOPE Mountains without borders"

GENERAL Assembly of the members is the supreme body of the union. The General Assembly is gathered every year by the Board of Directors, as the date and the place of the session is published in the State Newspaper and they are also announced on the Internet website of the union.
