AXA aims at playing a constructive role in the formulation of policy affecting the insurance industry and broadly speaking of the financial services industry, by engaging with relevant officials from the EU institutions and responding to European Commission consultations.
AXA promotes the achievement of the Internal Market, notably a fully integrated European insurance market. AXA is willing to build an integrated and harmonised European Economic Area. AXA is engaged to contribute to the financing of the economy in particular in a long term perspective.

AXA dispose d'un bureau à Bruxelles pour les affaires Européennes et institutionnelles. Ce bureau occupe une seule personne et se consacre aux 2/3 aux affaires Européennes. La Direction des affaires Européennes est basée à Paris avec un Directeur des affaires publiques et un chargé de mission. Le bureau de Bruxelles rapporte au Directeur des affaires publiques lequel rapporte au Directeur général Délégué du Groupe.
