Der Verein bezweckt die Förderung und Vertretung der Interessen von Aufsichtsräten in Unternehmen mit Sitz in Österreich.
Unterstützung einschlägiger wissenschaftlicher Forschung, Organisation von Veranstaltungen.
Förderung der Bildung.
Nationaler und internationaler Erfahrungsaustausch von Aufsichtsräten über Aufgaben und Stellung des Aufsichtsrates.
Erarbeitung, Präsentation und Veröffentlichung von Stellungnahmen zu Themen, die die Interessen von Aufsichtsräten berühren, auch im Bereich der Legistik.
Mitarbeit in internationalen Berufsverbänden und Fachgremien.
Herstellung und Pflege von Kontakten zu Repräsentanten von Politik und Gesetzgebung, Lobbying, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie aktive Mitarbeit bei der Meinungsbildung.
