CNA VENETO – Confederation Craftmen and SMEs is an association for the representation of its members’ interests.
It acts as spokesman of the craftsmen and puts forward arguments before Region, Provinces, Commons, Public Boards, Banks, TradeUnions thus playing the role of economic body in the choices and strategies of local development.
CNA VENETO associates 20.000 businesses; it supplies its members with many fundamental services, such as: tax accounting, payrolls, income-tax returns. Besides these fundamental services, CNA has created over the territory a solid network of services concerning training, promotion, innovation, marketing, environmental, credit, financial fiscal consultancy and assistance.
CNA Veneto is based in Venice-Marghera and operates 118 SME support centres in all the districts of Veneto, employing over 800 full-time staff. Veneto is well known for its capacity of transforming from one of the poorest regions in Italy (back in the Sixties) into the most dynamic and fast growing region in the Nineties. Today Veneto is a world leader for the manufacture of fashion clothes, footwear, wood-furniture, plastic products and agricultural equipment, as well as a national leader for agri-food, light mechanics, white goods and some construction materials.
This impressive growth has been driven by the SME sector, and CNA Veneto – during over 50 years – has
played a major role in this process of regional development.
Being a member of the National Council of Economy and Labour, CNA takes active part in policy-making and is a counterpart of the Italian and Regional Governments for the design and implementation of relevant legislation for SME development, regulations and support measures.
As a social partner, CNA is also regularly involved in the social dialogue mechanisms and labour market instruments. It is one of the major implementing agencies for pro-active employment measures and – on its own – has been promoting a number of enterprise and employment generation programmes in the less developed regions of Italy.
Thanks to our geographical position in the North-East of Italy, we have always been oriented towards a close working collaboration with Central and Eastern Europe. In many countries of the region we have established daughter companies since 1988, which currently deliver a wide range of advisory services under the brand names of Euro-In Consulting (management consulting, privatisation services, credit advice and marketing), Euro-In Training (training courses, vocational education, human resources development) and Euro-In & Partners (audit, accounting, tax and law advise).
