| Goals / remit of the organisation: |
Dem Verband obliegt es, die allgemeinen und gemeinsamen ideellen, wirtschaftlichen, rechtlichen und sozialpolitischen Interessen seiner Mitglieder zu fördern und zu schützen.
Der Verband soll insbesondere
die Interessen der Aromenindustrie gegenüber Behörden, Organisationen und Verbänden vertreten;
den Austausch allgemeiner wirtschaftlicher und technischer Informationen innerhalb der Aromenindustrie koordinieren und fördern;
für einen lauteren Wettbewerb in der Aromenindustrie eintreten.
Der Verband ist Mitglied des europäischen Verbandes EFFA (European Flavour Association) und des internationalen Verbandes IOFI (International Organization of the Flavor Industry). Die technisch/wissenschaftlichen Richtlinien dieser Verbände sind für den Verband und seine Mitglieder verbindlich.
Der Zweck des Verbandes ist nicht auf einen wirtschaftlichen Geschäftsbetrieb gerichtet.
