EVONIK: Kerngeschäft Spezialchemie
Das Spezialchemiegeschäft von Evonik orientiert sich an den globalen Megatrends und ist in die folgenden Segmente unterteilt:
- Consumer, Heath & Nutrition
- Ressource Efficiency
- Specialty Materials
Jedes Segment besteht aus zwei Geschäftsbereichen:
Consumer, Health & Nutrition umfasst die Geschäftsbereiche Consumer Specialties und Health & Nutrition. Der Geschäftsbereich Consumer Specialties beliefert die Konsumgüterindustrie mit einer breiten Palette an innovativen Produkten für Anwendungen in der Körperpflege, Hygiene und Reinigung. Der Geschäftsbereich Health & Nutrition produziert und vermarktet essenzielle Aminosäuren für die Tierernährung, Wirkstoffe für die Pharmaindustrie sowie Katalysatoren. Dabei müssen höchste Qualitäts- und Zulassungsstandards erfüllt werden.
Ressource Efficiency umfasst die Geschäftsbereiche Inorganic Materials und Coatings & additives. Kernkompetenzen im Design anorganischer Partikel und deren Oberflächeneigenschaften prägen den Geschäftsbereich Inorganic Materials ebenso wie das Betreiben von Silizium-Verbundstandorten zur Produktion eines einzigartigen Spektrums von Chlor- und Organosilanen. Der Geschäftsbereich Coatings & Additives produziert funktionale Polymere und hochwertige Monomerspezialitäten für die Lack- und Beschichtungs- sowie die Klebstoff- und Dichtstoffindustrie.
Specialty Materials umfasst die Geschäftsbereiche Performance Polymers und Advanced Intermediates. Der Geschäftsbereich Performance Polymers stellt ein breites Spektrum von Hochleistungsmaterialien her und wird am Markt insbesondere für seine anwendungstechnische Kompetenz geschätzt. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Methylmethacrylat-Chemie sowie der Polyamid-12-Verbund. Im Geschäftsbereich Advanced Intermediates sind Produkte zusammengefasst, die von den Kunden zu hochwertigen Endanwendungen in der Agro-, Chemie-, Kunststoff- und Papierindustrie weiterverarbeitet werden.
Daneben steht noch der Geschäftsbereich Site Services, der die Infrastrukturdienstleistungen an den elf großen deutschen Chemiestandorten des Konzerns bündelt.
