Das Europabüro beteiligt sich am europäischen Integrationsprozess, unterstützt die Interessen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Europa und arbeitet an der Gestaltung der Außenbeziehungen der Europäischen Union mit. Die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung - als Dialog-, Bildungs - und Beratungsagentur wird damit ihrer besonderen Rolle als politisches Netzwerk für und mit den verschiedenen europäischen Institutionen gerecht. Das Europabüro der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Brüssel setzt zur Erreichung seiner Ziele unterschiedliche Maßnahmen ein: öffentlichkeitswirksame Konferenzen, geschlossene Fachseminare, Besucherprogramme und Arbeitsaufenthalte ausländischer Gäste sowie verschiedene Publikationsformate wie das "Thema aus Brüssel".
