Goals / remit of the organisation: The BBTS is the professional body for people working in all areas of blood transfusion, encompassing staff from hospitals and from the UK blood services. It has over 1,500 members and is a registered charity and company. The Societies main objective is to advance the study of all aspects of blood transfusion for the public benefit, and to promote research, development and innovation.
