Tällaisia ovat esim. oikeus sensuroimattomaan viestintään, kohtuullisiin käyttöehtoihin digitaalista sisältöä ostettaessa sekä vapaus kehittää ja julkaista avoimia tietokoneohjelmia. Yhdistys herättää keskustelua ja pyrkii vaikuttamaan muun muassa lainsäädäntöhankkeisiin sananvapaudesta ja tekijänoikeudesta Suomessa ja Euroopassa.
