(i) to represent its Members at National (Malta), EU and international level (ICCAT, FEAP, etc);
(ii) to lead in the development of scientific and other knowledge concerning aquaculture in general;

(iv) to educate the public about the benefits of aquaculture;

The Association is funded principally by donations from its Members. Each Member pays a Membership fee. The Association has in the past been reimbursed expenses incurred in organising the collection of scientific samples for ICCAT's scientific programme.
