Goals / remit

Goals / remit of the organisation: The National Energy Foundation is an independent UK charity (not for profit organisation) dedicated to improving the use of energy in buildings and raising the energy literacy of citizens. It works towards these objectives through undertaking projects and capacity building in the areas of energy efficiency, suitable integration of small scale renewable energy, supporting standardisation, and better energy management with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and providing safe and sustainable energy for all. Established 25 years ago, it is independent of all commercial interests and seeks to provide impartial advice and support to individuals, communities, public bodies and SMEs.
