Die Deutsche Lufthansa AG ist ein weltweit tätiger Luftfahrtkonzern mit rund 400 Konzern- und Beteiligungsgesellschaften. Das Unternehmen ist in fünf Geschäftsfeldern aktiv: Die Lufthansa Passage Airlines sind der Nukleus des Konzerns. Die Bedeutung der anderen Geschäftsfelder orientiert sich vor allem daran, inwiefern sie als Dienstleister für wesentliche Produktionsfaktoren und Infrastruktur die Weiterentwicklungsfähigkeit des Kerngeschäftsfelds Passagierbeförderung stärken oder einen bedeutenden Kompetenz-Fit aufweisen.
