Activities

Main EU initiatives covered the year before by activities falling under the scope of the Transparency Register:

To increase awareness of the vital importance of design in general and Design for All in particular as a horizontal tool for achieving low-tech and relatively low-cost innovation in all areas of society, from the classical applications to the artificial environment, products and communications to broader applications to systems and strategies.

Design for All is the tool for achieving, maintaining and improving social inclusion in a society whose demographic profile is changing drastically, opening up challenges for which conventional political theory and practice has no ready responses.

Design for All, by involving users at every stage in the design process, so guaranteeing more sustainable markets, is the best way to ensure economic recovery and lasting stability in a scenario where social sustainability is the essential third component of the sustainability agenda, alongside environmental sustainablity and economic affordability.
