• to encourage the formation of a European consciousness among educators and young people, in view of an active and responsible European citizenship;
• to inform and communicate about European politics, strategies and programs particularly those relating to educational/-pastoral activities and youth- especially youth at risk;
• to provide a link and foster cooperation between different Salesian and other structures of education, professional-training and youth-pastoral by creating new synergies;
• to ensure a qualified presence and participation in European projects and programs
• to represent Salesian educational and pastoral experience in European networks and panels.
