The Association strives to enhance privacy, e-security and data protection across Europe and beyond, considering that privacy is a fundamental right.
The Association will: 1. Provide a ‘space’ for bringing together experts across Europe (and beyond), engage, and collaborate on new policies which help enhance privacy, e-security and data protection in a sustainable way. 2. Work as a pan-European network of privacy, data protection and security experts, from a broad range of backgrounds, through a Scientific Committee, Business Members and Policy makers 3. Encourage the development of Privacy-by-design business products and services
EPA brings stakeholders together as so to find solutions that work best for all parties. The Association is non-political and works closely with government officials, citizens and industry.

Privacy, data protection, cyber-security and related such matters is EPA's organisational emphasis. The Association, working with an extensive Policy and Scientific Committee and its Fellows, develops high quality research projects relating to relevant ICT issues. The Association also organizes events that successfully bring together all stakeholders, fostering open discussion.
